Situated in a picturesque setting on the River Limmat and Lake Zurich, the city is the financial and cultural heart of Switzerland. Easy to explore on foot, the city has many places of interest: the churches and town houses of the old town and the elegant boutiques in the Bahnhofstraße straddle both banks of the River Limmat, between the main train station and Lake Zurich.
